Some more cards I've made recently

A couple of birthday cards and an engagement card, this is starting off to be a busy month!

House of Fun

This week on Sunday stampers the theme is House of Fun. I have created this house using distress inks, Tim Holtz stamps and some Paper Artsy images. As usual the photo is rubbish, so apologies for that. I havent played with inks for ages so I really enjoyed this challenge, thanks Hels xxx

Some more cute owls

I love these cute little guys! The bottom 2 cards are fancy fold cards (well they are for me!!). The border that goes down the right side is the right edge of the card so its like an off centre gatefold card(if you know what I mean!!).

Andy's niece has just got engaged so now I have to crack on with an engagement card for her - no rest for the wicked!!!

A quick card

Oh dear, this was for a friend's birthday that was on Friday but I just didn't have any inclination to get the stamps out so I made this quick card using embelishments and my cuttlebug to add texture to the background layer. I used these colours because she loves red, and I very rarely do anything much with red so it felt a bit weird! Not sure if she liked it or not, but she liked her pressies so that was good!

Well I made this card for my mum and her hubby Richard who celebrated their wedding anniversary yesterday - well actually they didn't cus he's in the RFA so he wasn't actually around - but you know what I mean!

I used some Stampin Up stamps which I really like, and made some flowers with my Cricut machine, I seem to have lost the bottom of it when I scanned the card but I think you can see what it was like! Thanks for looking xx

My new car!!!!

Well almost! I pick it up on Friday - oh I guess I should pay for it then as well, tee hee!!! I dont know what to call her so any suggestions would be gratefully received!!! Can't wait to drive her around - I'm sooooo excited xxxx

Tis the season to have birthdays, tra la la la la, la la la la !!!! And here are some cards that I've been making!

And a cigar tin that I altered...

.... and some more cards!!!!

Thanks for looking :)

Thank you cards

I have been away from my blog for an exceeding long time!!! To be honest I've just not felt like doing crafting or blogging - what's wrong with me!!!! I think it has something to do with Facebook and working on the Farm - but that's another story....

Anyway, it was my birthday on Friday and I had some absolutely fantastic handmade cards from my lovely crafting buddies, and even my aunt made me a handmade card - thanks Jean, you're fab :)

I also had some lovely presents and lots of money (lucky me!!). So I made a couple of thank you cards, and here they are! OK, so they're not amazing but I had to get back into it somehow!!!

Thanks for looking - well if there's anyone still out there!!!

A couple of family cards

It was my aunts birthday yesterday so I made this card for her, I can't seem to get enough of this image can I!!! I sooo love the large sized flowers too and the basic grey paper pads, I think I need more!!! I struggled with the heart quite a bit, it's been three different colours but I was eventually happy with the colour I chose and then I put glossy accents over the top, doesn't really show up in the scan does it!

Then its my uncle's birthday next week so I made this card, it's decoupage but it doesn't really show (what's new!!!) but I wanted to use this image as he's got a narrow boat which he practically rebuilt and he loves it so I hope this card will make him smile!

My Houses

Should have posted this on my blog awhile ago but, well, you know how it is! Anyway, these are the 5 houses that I made for a house swap that I joined in with over at HCA. I showed my other half, Andy, and after looking at them he said, `It shows how disturbed you are'! Hope you dont think I'm disturbed!!! Thanks for looking xx

M.I.A

Not sure where the time has gone but in a blink of an eye I've lost a month, is it just because I'm getting older or does anyone else think the same as me - time is marching on far too quickly !!!!

Anyway, I've made quite a few cards for birthdays in March so here are just a few of them :) It seems that once I get a stamp out I kind of use it a lot, but then I'm probably not the only one! Some of the colours haven't scanned particularly well but I hope you like them and thanks for taking time out to look at them :)

Love in my pockets

Here are two pockets that I made for the February Swap over at HCA. They follow a love theme but this may not be apparent until you look inside!!!

OK, better show the insides then!

The pink one has a surprise in the little envelope.

Another Birthday Card

Cover for my HCA tag book - updated

Started this last week but got side tracked, like you do, anyway managed to finish the front cover today, using lots of ink (including metallic and pearl) on my big swirly grungeboard element and chipboard letters, also used different papers front and back and my leafing pen.

I was going to add fibres etc but there are so many inside the book that I didn't think it needed them. Anyway the next step is to put holes in all the lovely tags that I've received via swaps through Hels Crafty Angels last year - and I'm really worried about doing it cus I dont want to damage any of the lovely works of art, but I do think this will be a nice way of keeping them all! Will put another picture up when its finished! Wish me luck :)

Well I was brave, and I added the holes to my lovely tags and - thank goodness there were no disasters :)

You can see the fibres peeping through from inside so all I did was add a couple of ribbons and tied them round the book rings :)

2 more birthday cards!

I think I'm on a roll now, but I need to put this stamp away and try another one - but hey ho, I like it!!! This time I used K & Co papers, petal point chalk pads and the lovely prima flowers with brads in the center. Hope you like them :)

Wednesday 4 February 2009

3 birthday cards

Well I managed to make 3 birthday cards tonight, amazing! I used mainly Basic Grey papers, prima flowers, rubber stamps, gems and fibers from the candy I won from Tracey. Hope you like them xxx

Sunday Stampers - Brown Eyed Girl

Well I decided to make an atc for the Sunday Stampers Challenge which this week was to make something brown. I used brown card, I tore some brown text paper and then I stamped an image using brown ink! I added some glaze over the writing and then added some orange gems (sorry not brown - although they do look brown dont they!) and finally I added a chipboard word. I must admit it's not a particularly good effort but I kept getting sidetracked by all the cards I have to make this month! So why didn't I make a brown birthday card then - DOH!

Kellys Card

Having a nightmare at home as Hula Boy has managed to do something to the computer so now every time you switch it off we lose all our settings, favourites, pictures - you name it - its gone! So finally managed to get this card scanned to put on my blog. This is a card for Hula Boys niece - she loves her car - but its not pink!!! Hope she likes it anyway - thanks for looking xxx

Playing

I was visiting a friends blog last month and was really impressed by her fancy fold thingy card so I thought I would have a go at making one myself. Well being a bit thick I had to email Linda to find out how to do it! Her instructions were really good but even so I didn't put my all in to it as I thought it would probably go wrong, so I just had a play with it to see how it worked. I think next time I will make it a bit shorter so I can use smaller stamps, but anyway here is my effort and here is a link to Linda's blog where you can see how to do it properly!!!

This is the inside, a sort of Andy Warhol stylie - well in my head it is anyway!!!

And this is the cover! Thanks for looking - leave a comment if you like!!!!

ATC Swap

I've made 4 atcs for a monthly swap that I do on Hels Crafty Angels, and we had to follow the theme of friendship, include ribbon, a 3D element and of course rubber stamping! I really enjoyed making these atcs as it made a nice change from all those xmas cards!!!!!
