Purple Rain

What a fabby challenge Hels has set us today on the Sunday Stampers challenge - right up my street - for those of you who dont know, I love Prince, he's got to be one of the most telented musicians on the planet!!!! Anyway, the challenge is called `Purple Rain' and we have to use purple on our creations! I have decided to make a little pocket to keep my old Prince ticket in from the O2 concert that I went to last year.



I started by using one of the Sara's Surfaces which was a tall coin envelope which I covered with some Hot off The Press paper. I stamped a guitar image (inkadinkado) in Imperial Purple versafine ink and also the Rockstar text with the same. I used my Cricut to cut out Prince and also a bracket which I added to the front. I finished off by using a grunge board crown which I covered in the same ink, then added glossy accents over the top and sprinkled purple glitter on whilst it was still wet. My scanner hasn't done the colours justice, cus it is purple - honest!!!

The Sunday Stampers - Man Oh Man

Well I managed to join in with the The Sunday Stampers challenge this week (just in the nick of time!) and the theme was to make something with a man on it! I made a card this time using a paper artsy stamp that has lots of men on! I covered a blank card with paper from the 7 Gypsy Morroco Journey pack. I swiped some white card with my milled lavendar distress ink and stamped the image with my very favourite vintage sepia versafine pad (I really must get another colour of versafine - I love this pad cus it picks up all the detail but it will run out soon at the rate I'm using it!) Then I mounted the image on some dark card and decided to put brads into each corner, but I didnt like it so I took them out and threaded fibres through instead and then mounted this on to the card. Thanks Hels I enjoyed doing this challenge :)

A RAK for someone ...

I made this page as a RAK for someone on the CSF. I love this paper, it was from a kit but I can't remember which one, although I think it was the one that had a DVD called tips, tricks and techniques with 2 American ladies sharing their knowledge with us! Anyway, the stamp I used as the focal point is a new one that I bought a couple of weeks ago, the ink I used was a brown versafine which I use an awful lot because it really does show up fine detail. Then I added some ribbon underneath and went round the edges with the same ink pad (I think!). Anyway, hope she likes it!

A xmas fat book page

Well here is the result of what I've been doing this afternoon! I am currently taking part in the rubber stamped xmas fat book list on the Craft Swap Forum and this design is for that!

First I covered the page with the `smudge holly' design from the Artylicious cd `Season's Greetings'. I then went around the edges with my copper leafing pen to give it a border. Next I stamped the image with a versafine ink pad, tore this out and applied scattered straw with my cut and dry foam around the edges and lightly over the image. Then I went back over the edges using the distress peeled paint ink pad. Finally, I mounted the image onto the fat book page and hey presto - its finished!
