A couple of family cards

It was my aunts birthday yesterday so I made this card for her, I can't seem to get enough of this image can I!!! I sooo love the large sized flowers too and the basic grey paper pads, I think I need more!!! I struggled with the heart quite a bit, it's been three different colours but I was eventually happy with the colour I chose and then I put glossy accents over the top, doesn't really show up in the scan does it!

Then its my uncle's birthday next week so I made this card, it's decoupage but it doesn't really show (what's new!!!) but I wanted to use this image as he's got a narrow boat which he practically rebuilt and he loves it so I hope this card will make him smile!

A couple of birthday cards

Hello bloggers! I've been MIA for a bit but I've been so busy at work that I've not felt like doing much else except chilling out! Anyway, last night I had to make some birthday cards and so I thought I would blog them. They're not very creative but its a start isn't it!!!

The first one is for nan who will be 93 on Tuesday! We recently went to Egypt on holiday and we really loved it so thats why I got this Egyptian kit from QVC, it makes nice cards so I'm hoping nan will like this one!

Then I have a friends birthday later in the week so I made this card using some Basic Grey `Perhaps' papers, silver mirri card and another one of those glossy, floral rub-ons, finishing off with some little sparkly accents. I then made a matching atc - hope she likes them !!!!!! Thanks for looking xxx

Jigsaw Pieces

I decided to alter some large jigsaw pieces after being inspired by an article in the Craft Stamper magazine! The first piece was just inked using different distress pads and then some images stamped on to it from an unmounted set I got from Joanna Sheen's site that was in the sale!

On the next piece I covered up areas with different scraps of Basic Grey papers, I then inked in the gaps with peeled paint and added some other colours here and there. I stamped again with some other images from the same set and then I sprayed both sides with my glimmer mist lilly pad. I enjoyed doing this so I think my next project will be to make a book using the jigsaw pieces!

Three 4 three swap

I made these last night using some papers from BasicGrey and some images from my Crafty Individuals and Artsy Collage books. Hopefully I will be able to send them off for Lesley's January 3 x 3 swap but I am a bit late putting my name down for this - so fingers crossed!!
