A couple of birthday cards
Hello bloggers! I've been MIA for a bit but I've been so busy at work that I've not felt like doing much else except chilling out! Anyway, last night I had to make some birthday cards and so I thought I would blog them. They're not very creative but its a start isn't it!!!
The first one is for nan who will be 93 on Tuesday! We recently went to Egypt on holiday and we really loved it so thats why I got this Egyptian kit from QVC, it makes nice cards so I'm hoping nan will like this one!
Then I have a friends birthday later in the week so I made this card using some Basic Grey `Perhaps' papers, silver mirri card and another one of those glossy, floral rub-ons, finishing off with some little sparkly accents. I then made a matching atc - hope she likes them !!!!!! Thanks for looking xxx

My First Ever House
There is a new swap on Hels Crafty Angels where we will be making houses to swap and then we will have our own little streets - what a lovely idea! Anyway, I was a bit nervous about joining in cus I'd never made a house before! I designed my own house template and then went from there. The first one I made went straight in the bin, it was really awful! Eventually I made this one, which has got the distress inks peeled paint, broken china and a touch of worn lipstick dabbed onto the background and I then went round the edges with my copper leafing pen. I used this lovely stamp from The Artistic Stamper as the main focal point and added a grungeboard crown to him. I then found this hand which was part of another stamp which I thought would be fun to put in the roof and looks like its trying to nick his crown!!! I really enjoyed making this house but I'm not sure about what to do for the next nine!!!!!!

In My Pocket - A Butterfly!
This weeks In My Pocket Challenge was to hide a butterfly! I was having a rummage in my craft room and found some papers that came free with a magazine so I thought I would use them to make this pocket. There were also some paper flowers and butterflys which I cut out and layered on the front flap. I also used some ribbon and a buckle to decorate the front.
Inside I used a Tim Holtz stamp on the top flap and then the rest was decorated with more flowers and of course the secret butterfly which is from the Stitchel collection! I love this pocket - I think its really pretty!! Hope you like it too!

A Birthday Card
I made this card this afternoon for a friend's birthday which is in a couple of days. Its quite simple, as you can probably see, as I didn't feel like stamping today! So instead I used some new rub-ons that I got from QVC which are textured and glossy, a little different from the usual ones, sort of have a watercolour feel to them. I matted and layered using the K&Co Hannah papers and some silver mirri card. I'm pleased with the overall look and it didn't take took long at all - perfect! Hope you like it and thanks for looking!

I've got lurve in my pocket
This week on My Pocket Challenge is a love theme! I made this pocket using basic grey papers which I've had forever - but I do love them - honest!!! The two hearts on the front were stamped onto more basic grey using Hels own design of Stitchel stamps, the curly dot love heart, the detail on the flap is a Hot off The Press swirl stamp and the front is held closed with a big heart clip.
Inside I have made a couple more heart embelishments and then I've put my secret message, which is a Cats Life stamp, and if you cant read it, it says:
`Do you love me?' She whispered. He looked at her and kissed her...this time no words were needed.
very romantic! On the other flap I have stamped a Paper Artsy image, I think she looks like she has just been kissed and might be about to do something naughty! Hope you like it and thanks for looking xxx
